6-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Bullied and Electrocuted in Central Jakarta
A 6-year-old boy identified by the initials MWP was allegedly the victim of bullying by two teenagers in the Kramat Pulo Park area, Senen District, Central Jakarta, on June 7, 2026.
According to CCTV footage, the victim was seen being dragged and taken toward an electrical pole that was reportedly leaking electricity. As a result, the child suffered an electric shock, experienced seizures, and temporarily lost consciousness.
The victim was immediately taken to a hospital and underwent intensive medical treatment. According to family members, the boy has since regained consciousness and returned home. However, he is still experiencing trauma and fear when interacting with other people.
The victim's family has reported the incident to the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Authorities are currently questioning witnesses, the parents of the alleged perpetrators, and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and any potential legal action.
The case has attracted significant public attention because it involves a young child and allegations of bullying that resulted in a serious incident threatening the victim's safety and well-being.
